Grass-like sedge grown for attractive seed heads. Recently discovered in the Canary Islands. Similar to C. glaber but does well in dry soil.
Unusual seed heads in summer.
Habit - upright, leaning. H: 30cm S: 60cm
Stems - straight, light green.
Seed heads - numerous stems bear bunches of tightly packed, spurred and spiky, pom pom-like, light gold-green seed heads.
Full sun to partial shade.
Well drained.
Half hardy.
Lift and divide every three to four years.
From seed or division.
